The Tatas have arranged for an alternative livelihood solution to the fishermen community living in the areas surrounding Dhamra Port region. These fishermen face hardship from November to March every year as the Orissa State Government evokes ban on fishing during this time due to mass nesting of the Olive Ridley turtles in this region. As a measure in that direction, three tourist boats were provided to the fishermen in the Dhamra Port area, which will provide transportation to the tourists from Kharinasi to Hukitula Island. Tata Steel has always strived to improve the quality of life of people in and around its project area.

The Olive Ridley Turtles are not affected by the Dhamra Port construction. They appeared at the Gahirmatha nesting beach for mass nesting, twice this year. Around 3.5 lakh Olive Ridley turtles successfully laid eggs during the annual nesting season 09-10. The nesting season spanned from February 24 to March 20.
the best way to overcome the caste factor for the general category is to marry into the reserved category. atleast their future generations can then benefit.
who are you kidding when u say there is no reservation in private sector. private sector has crony capitalism. where the relatives of the md, have their own positions. we protest against caste based reservation, but not against nri quota or management quota.

should the system be more effective. yes. but lets not kid ourselves, that there is a big percentage of population who are not respected. since we don't have just 2 castes, its conveniently passed down, and the lowers have their own lowers to discriminate and disrespect.

go to a village as a dr, you might get respect. go to a village as a dalit, and see who gives you water and how.

i think there must be an Indian only option in the census. and i believe there are many priveileged and unpriveileged who would mark their caste as Indian.

I think in Kashmir & Laddakh its by govt. mandate that mobile carriers can't provide pre-paid connections. But in Gurgaon it seems the carriers are doing so by their own will. Still, I think people can buy pre-paid connections in Delhi, they still work at local rates in the NCR region.

Well, I wouldn't give a flying fuck at their outrage otherwise as well, its absolutely totally absurd! IPL is Indian Premier League, a domestic series of India played between Indian clubs. Its not a Pakistani league nor is it an international event. Which players a club hires is definitely no business of Pakistan or any other government - its that particular club's own business. Its their money & so its their decision whom they contract to play for them!

As for Pakistan banning Indian TV channels & movies, well, who gives a shit, eh! When they were banned till a few years back, the people there still watched bollywood movies (via pirated disks) & loss of whatever pitiful revenue from Pakistan didn't put any dent in pockets of movie makers here.

I think its time Pakistan government officials realize that Pakistan is not US of A, making such threats against a more powerful economy like India makes no difference.

Definitely a WTF issue!!
